Today’s Virgo Moon in the Northern Hemisphere helps to usher in the Spring Equinox which takes place later this week on Thursday March 20 at 12:57 pm edt. The name of the Worm Moon was given to this moon by Native Americans long ago because the ground was softening from the winter run offs enabling the worms to arise from the dark earth — gifting the returning Spring birds with plentiful food. A wonderful metaphor for the the watery Pisces Sun energy seeping into our minds and bodies right noe — bringing creative nourishment to help us map out and manifest our real world plans for this upcoming this new season!
So I ask you where are you with your thought today? Do you feel like you are flowing with all of life or do you feel like you are up against the tides? If you are struggling right now, use the magical energies of this Full Moon to connect inward through water. You may want to take a soothing bath or listen to ocean sounds that help you to feel like you are swimming freely through the waters like a dolphin. Allow yourself to play with the idea that you are a part of the ocean yet also unique — as an individual drop of water. Ultimately, this full moon invites us to connect with our spiritual center to ask how we want to serve here on earth.
We are at the end of the astrological year, so great time to look back on what we have manifested over the last year. Tonight give thanks for all that you have brought to fruition and then release to make room for the new to grow. A wonderful example of this kind of ritual is how the Tibetan monks spend countless hours creating beautiful colorful sand mandalas, then release them into a body of water to symbolize the impermanence of all life as well as blessing to All life. Here is a video of the Dali Lama involved in the creation and destruction of a sand mandala of compassion – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10084L3Pqsc
